Currently, more than 740 million people worldwide and roughly 50 million patients in Europe suffer from chronic tinnitus. To date, there is no medical cure and in Germany, too, around 15% of the adult population is affected by tinnitus - around 3% severe to very severe - with increasing incidence with age. What is tilencio
The tilencio app is a smartphone app for the treatment and monitoring of chronic tinnitus.
Tilencio has been proven to alleviate the suffering of tinnitus patients with digital methods and enables a better life with the disease. With the modules psychoeducation, somatic tinnitus, audio stimulation and tinnitus diary as well as an evaluation of the individual tinnitus burden at the beginning and end of the therapy, the tilencio app combines various functions and therapeutic approaches which, in combination, lead to a significant improvement in the tinnitus burden.
The tilencio app will also include additional modules for hearing training and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) in the near future.
Tilencio Modules
Learn about tinnitus and better understand the disease. Better comprehension will help you to better cope with tinnitus burden. Facts and knowledge about tinnitus are delivered in twelve chapters with seven lessons each – little quizzes at the end of each chapter make learning fun.
Up to 30% of all tinnitus symptoms have somatic causes, i.e. muscular tension in the throat, neck and jaw area is responsible for the tinnitus. tilencio offers physiotherapy training videos that are put together in a 12-week course program and help you to ease tinnitus caused by somatic issues.
There are more than 60 natural and synthetic sounds - adjustable to your individual tinnitus frequency - for you to choose from to stimulate the hearing nerve and notch the tinnitus frequency.
Keep track of your personal tinnitus burden. A short questionnaire will assist you every day to capture your individual perception of your tinnitus and how it develops over time.
